Liam Cunningham
Hey, my name is Liam - Nice to meet you,
Growing up as a child of the internet I've always been fascinated with technology and the possibilities that it enables. Following this curiosity eventually brought me to study AI at the VU. While gaining technical knowledge of AI systems, I became increasingly interested in the social aspect of how humans interact with technology.
This started raising questions for me such as:
How can AI actually make a positive impact on people's day to day lives?
How can AI help promote responsibility and ethics rather than hindering it?
and How can we create a computational representation of an inherently complex and unpredictable world?
As luck would have it, I'm living in a city that strives to pursue these same questions, Amsterdam. Along side other interests, my desire for interdisciplinary collaboration brought me to pursue my master's degree in Metropolitan Analysis Design and Engineering (MADE), a joint degree between Wageningen University and TU Delft.
And this, my dear reader, brings my story to the present, where I'm actively pursuing an understanding of the relationships between technical, social, design, and systems thinking in an urban context.
